The hotel is centrally located, with very good communication prior to arrival. Communication and service once at the hotel were adequate, but not excellent. The condition of the rooms is not as nice as it appears in the photos. Our room was dark, with no natural light except a window to the inner corridor. An A/C unit in room required that the window be left wide open all day (a vent pipe was fixed to the window frame). Essentially, all day and night the bedroom window is wide open to a hallway, eliminating any sense of privacy. The breakfast is good, and the staff are reasonable attentive.

Great views from the roof, great food & drinks, great service. There’s lots to see just within Mestizo, but it’s also very conveniently located. Complimentary drinks on the night of our arrival. If I’m lucky enough to get back to Antigua, I’ll definitely stay here again.

I really enjoyed my stay at Mestizo. The location is great! Cristofer communicated with me very well prior to my stay; however, I didn’t feel communication was as good once I arrived at the hotel. My room did not smell great either, they did have air fresheners in the room that were spraying rather frequently (like automatic glade air fresheners found in bathrooms). Unfortunately I am highly sensitive to fragrance, especially artificial fragrances such as these, so I had to shut them off, so the smell really worsened.
