This place is very centrally located, just a block behind the cathedral on the main square. El Rincon Tipico is a simple kind of restaurant yet the food they serve is the best sample of local cuisine as it is both tasty and generous.

Like everyone else, I came because of TikTok but was greeted with the warmth of the atmosphere and the welcoming smell of handmade tortillas. Going for lunch, there was definitely a wait. As long as your prepared for that, it’s fine. I would say worth the TikTok hype.

This is a must visit restaurant in Antigua. It’s near Central Park and has a line out the door every time I walk by. The food was absolutely delicious and had the best prices of anywhere in town. I would eat here everyday if I could!
It is cash only, so make sure you have at least 40-60Q on hand per person

It was fun but to be honest we were disappointed given the hype. We had to queue for 30 mins, it was a good vibe inside but swelteringly hot and then all the food was just a bit meh. Chicken was under-seasoned, salsa picante was just tomato sauce with literally no flavour or spice, and the sides were fine but nothing special. Very cheap so if that’s your focus you can’t go wrong!
