A fantastic panoramic viewpoint of Lake Atitlán and the surrounding town of San Juan De Laguna. It’s a bit of hike up a somewhat steep gradient but the view is worth the climb. Be advised that there is a small entrance fee payable in cash. A wonderful place to catch the majestic sunrise.
“The walk to the Mirador Kaqasiiwaan is not very long, about 600 meters from the village edge, but has a fairly steep gradient of about 10%. But the climb is definitely worth it, because the view is fantastic! You have an unobstructed view of the magnificent Lago de Atitlán, the villages of San Juan and San Pedro and the surrounding mountains, including the San Pedro volcano.” -Koen
