I attended a dance social one night and signed up for a private lesson, and it was such a great experience!
The social itself was a lot of fun, with a beginner lesson at the start. The instructor did a fantastic job teaching the basics, and the music played during the social was really catchy. The local dancers were welcoming and friendly to visitors, and I got to practice Spanish, which was a nice touch.
As for the private class, it was eye-opening. The instructor helped me identify all the ways I’d been dancing salsa weird 😭🤣 (my words, not his!). The session was tailored to my specific needs and problem areas. As a follow, I realized I had been relying too much on the lead. Even after just one session, I noticed a huge improvement in my technique. The instructor was super patient and kind, making the experience all the more valuable. Would highly recommend for folks looking to improve their technique!
