Book it!!!! I enjoyed my morning market tour with Rebeca & Kukul tales so much that I immediately booked this tour for the evening portion when it was mentioned there was a spot. It was the perfect evening. So much food. Wonderful people from all around the world. A mix of street food, restaurants and snazzy cocktail bars. It was perfect!

Worth every penny This is the exact experience you are looking for if you want to eat, learn and be immersed in a culture. Rebeca is such an amazing human- full of a wealth of knowledge and so happy to share her love of food and Guatemalan history. Better yet she is supporting so many amazing local women vendors with her work who are excited when she arrived because she has connected with them in such a thoughtful and respectful way. The market was amazing to experience with her and really feel like a local. The tortilla workshop and lunch with the sweetest family is something that will forever be burned in my mind as one of the most amazing experience of my life. Despite being solo and speaking very little spanish, I felt so incredibly welcomed in their home. I’ve done many food tours in many countries and this one tops them all. It was SO good that I decided to join Rebeca for the evening tour that she offers and it was just as amazing. Don’t waste your time looking anywhere else. You won’t find a better experience than this.

Amazing workshop, highly recommended! 🍫 Had the most amazing time learning about Guatemalan cacao with Kukul Tales. Not only was it held at the cutest venue (El Comalote - be sure to grab breakfast or lunch there!) but Rebeca is the most passionate hostess. She offers a wealth of knowledge about all things cacao and Guatemalan culture and cuisine. The workshop was very engaging and fun and ended in local chocolate tasting. She also told us all about the local fair trade and wage initiatives and how the modern day cacao industry is making a difference in the local communities. She's truly a guardian of the Mayan cacao tradition. All in all a fantastic and informative way to spend an afternoon. Wish I had more time to take her cooking workshop in a local home or the popular street food tour. Hopefully next time. Thank you Rebeca!

¡Holy Cacao! This was amazing in so many ways. Rebecca taught us the historic and cultural aspects of cacao farming and showed us and had us do the process of turning raw cacao into chocolate. Tasting and rating four different varieties of locally produced chocolate was fun and delicious. I will never touch a Hershey's Kiss again
