The tortilla school was a gift of an experience. Nos encantó. Cindy, Yann, and Isla are incredible individuals who made the class fun, interesting, and easy to follow. We paid Q400 (cash only!) for the 4:30 pm class to cook 4-5 dishes and we finished around 8:30! At first I was nervous because we had shuttles in from Panajachel that day and it took us around 4 hours with traffic so we were exhausted. But the class completely reinvigorated us, and we were able to store our bags there.
We had a class of 6 not including the instructors and it was the perfect size. You drink your unlimited wine, get to know each other and cook dishes like Pepian. The chef Cindy is so sweet and funny. I speak Spanish and English so since she spoke Spanish only she had a translator work with us during the class! Her energy was top tier. I am so thankful we went and I would go back to say hey to our new friends again!
