I booked this place because of the good reviews, but I was disappointed by how noisy it was, despite the nice atmosphere and the rooftop restaurant. If you’re looking for a quiet place to work or rest, this is not the place for you.
The breakfast was good, and I really liked the avocado toast. The original version comes with eggs and bacon, but I asked for a vegan option, and they substituted it with mushrooms, which was a nice touch. The restaurant is big and has good food, but there is no kitchen for guests to use.
I stayed in the Agua room, which has 18 dorm beds but only one shower, one sink, and one toilet. The shower wasn’t hot, and the sink didn’t have warm water either. They also charge 25 quetzales to rent a towel, which is much higher than other hostels.
The staff was friendly, but overall, I wouldn’t stay here again because of how loud it was and the lack of basic comforts like hot water.
