10 Stars! I LOVED Baraka Antigua. I stayed here for one night en route to Lake Atitlán and I liked it so much, I’m staying here a second time upon my return route home. JB is not only an *excellent* and speedy communicator but he is an incredible host, very well versed in Guatemalan history, exceptionally charismatic, well-world-traveled, specifically across all Guatemalan roads, and then the best part is Baraka Antigua. It is wonderfully warm, privately tucked away in historic Antigua, very hot showers, very comfortable lounging spaces all over the home, excellent outdoor seating and even a very private and quaint rooftop terrace. As soon as I arrived, I soothed my body from international travel by doing yoga and lounging on the rooftop terrace alone. There’s enough space for one active yogi, two additional seated guests, and there’s also a hammock, it’s a small lounge space and the stairs to climb up are for the brave only. The location is very close to downtown Antigua and was very quiet at night. The architecture and plant jungle of this home are very worth experiencing. I plan to stay here every time I return to Lake Atitlán. JB literally made my entire experience traveling to Antigua and then onward to Lake Atitlán, Panajachel, Villa Sumaya, and eventually Eagle’s Nest. JB is *the* reason I have had such a life-changing experience here. A must book!
