Bistro Cinq – A High-End Bistro Experience in Antigua
Bistro Cinq delivers a remarkable dining experience that would feel right at home in a high-end bistro in Chicago or New York. Every dish we tried was exceptional, showcasing both culinary expertise and thoughtful presentation.
I ordered the duck l’orange, and it was superb—tender, flavorful, and perfectly complemented by a rich orange sauce. Well-prepared duck can be hard to find, but this dish exceeded expectations. My wife had the vegetarian lasagna, which was not only delicious but beautifully presented—served on its side, likely rolled before plating. She particularly appreciated this unique touch. Though it was never mentioned, I am certain the pasta was made fresh—the texture and flavor were simply too good for it to be anything else. We also shared the onion soup, which was deeply flavorful and perfectly executed.
The cocktails were excellent, with the Aperol Spritz being particularly refreshing—a perfect complement to the meal.
For English speakers, the language barrier can be a small challenge, but that’s part of the adventure. If you came to Guatemala expecting everything to be easy, you may be in the wrong place—but if you embrace the experience, Bistro Cinq offers a warm and welcoming respite with outstanding food.
